Every Saturday in Downtown Pensacola you will find the canopied path of Martin Luther King Jr. Plaza lined with an eclectic array of local vendors offering flowers, produce, handcrafted items, baked goods and art. Thousands of visitors enjoy the market every week and browse the unique selection of local goods while conversing with the friendly vendors and listening to live music.
This month, two Palafox Market events will allow downtown visitors to experience Pensacola’s community-oriented culture. The Mother’s Day Market on May 11 will feature a special booth to craft silk scarves, as well as new organic produce vendors and a unique selection of local Mother’s Day trinkets. Palafox Market will celebrate its 12th anniversary on May 18 with live music, a chef cook-off, scavenger hunts and a designated kids zone with face painting.
Palafox Market is consistently voted Best Outdoor Market, Best Place to Buy Local Produce and Best Free Thing to Do in local reader polls. The free event happens every Saturday from 9am-2pm, rain or shine.
